Facialist Teresa Tarmey Recommends 8 Skincare Products
Aesthetician Teresa Tarmey shares eight skincare product recommendations for barrier repair and hydration, focusing on solutions for redness, dryness, and

Facialist Teresa Tarmey has named eight skincare products she considers worth investing in for the autumn season. With nearly 30 years of experience, Tarmey focuses on supporting the skin barrier and improving long-term skin health rather than chasing trends.
Tarmey's philosophy is simple. Healthy skin comes from understanding your skin and knowing what not to do as much as what you should do. She shared her specific product picks with Who What Wear to help restore the skin barrier and boost hydration as temperatures drop.
Correcting Redness
Redness is a common concern Tarmey treats, whether from rosacea, flushing, or post-procedure inflammation. For immediate correction, she recommends the Erborian CC Red Correct. "This Erborian CC Red Correct is one of the cleverest complexion products I've ever found," Tarmey says. She notes it uses green pigments to neutralize redness but then adapts to the wearer's natural skin tone for a natural finish. She often suggests it to clients with rosacea for immediate confidence while longer-term treatments address the underlying cause.
Barrier Repair and Hydration
For drier skin, particularly during perimenopause or in winter, Tarmey turns to a richer cream. She uses the Mimétique Skin Restore + Rich Face Cream on rough patches or when her skin feels compromised. She describes it as deeply comforting and excellent for barrier care. Cleansing is another foundational step. Tarmey formulated her own Signature Cleanser to remove makeup and pollution thoroughly without stripping the skin. She insists a cleanser should not compromise the skin barrier, as everything applied afterwards would then be repairing damage.
Tarmey is selective about eye creams. She recommends the Chanel N°1 De Chanel Revitalizing Eye Cream because it hydrates without feeling heavy and makes the eye area look fresher. She believes an eye cream should keep the delicate eye area healthy and comfortable. For the body, she praises the Joonbyrd Future Romance Body Glaze, a product from dermatologist Dr. Alexis Granite's range. Tarmey claims it hydrates and nourishes skin without a sticky feel and has become part of her daily routine.
Skin-First Makeup and Sun Protection
Tarmey rarely wears foundation, preferring to improve the skin itself first. For evening out skin tone, she uses the Lisa Eldridge Beauty Seamless Skin Enhancing Tint. She calls it a hybrid formula with skin-nourishing ingredients that provides a healthy, believable finish. Sunscreen, however, is her non-negotiable product. Tarmey formulated her own Super Hydrating SPF 50 Pa++++ to create a formula people would enjoy wearing daily. She states it hydrates, sits well under makeup, and isn't greasy. "SPF is the closest thing we have to an anti-ageing product," Tarmey explains, noting it is the best way to prevent pigmentation and loss of skin quality.
Targeted, Personalized Actives
For active skincare, Tarmey recommends Klira, a brand founded by dermatologist Dr. Emma Craythorne. She has huge respect for Craythorne's expertise. The Klira service provides a personalized formula, called Your Skin Special, tailored to individual skin concerns and using prescription ingredients where appropriate. Tarmey loves that this approach removes guesswork, understanding the skin first before giving it what it needs. She sees people constantly buying trending ingredients when two people with similar concerns may need very different solutions.
